How to claim your profile, step by step

1. Go to artists.spotify.com

Log in with a Spotify account (free or Premium — either works).

2. Search for your artist profile

Click Claim your profile and search your artist name. Select the profile your distributor created when your release was delivered.

3. Prove it's you

Spotify verifies you're actually the artist or on their team. The fastest route is connecting your Instagram or artist socials; you can also submit your details manually with links to your official pages. Approval usually takes 1–3 days, often faster with socials connected.

4. Set up the profile properly

Once you're in:

• Upload a profile photo and header (not your single art)
• Write a bio with your story — and link your site
• Set an Artist Pick (a song, album, or playlist pinned to the top)
• Add your Artist Playlists if you have them

5. Pitch your next release

The mistakes that cost artists

Unclaimed profiles. Your music earns streams while your profile has no photo, no bio, and no owner. Listeners bounce, and you can't pitch.

Duplicate profiles. If your distributor delivers under a slightly different artist name, your songs can split across two profiles. Fix it early — request a merge through Spotify support, and use the exact same artist name on every release going forward.
