Introducing Eclipse Direct: Sell Your Music Straight to Your Fans

Eclipse Distro gets your music onto Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, YouTube Music and 100+ other stores. That's how new listeners find you. But a stream pays a fraction of a cent, and the platform, not you, owns the relationship with the listener.

Today we're launching the other half of the picture. Eclipse Direct is a direct-to-fan app where you sell your releases, subscriptions, merch and tickets straight to the people who actually listen. You set the price. Fans buy the music once and keep it for good. No label and no algorithm sit between you and them.

What is Eclipse Direct?

It's your own storefront and fan community, inside an app your fans already carry in their pocket. You upload a release, price it however you like, and share one link that works everywhere: a text message, your bio, a flyer, a QR code on the merch table.

When a fan buys, the music lands in their library to play any time. It's theirs, not a rented stream. And because Eclipse Direct isn't a label and isn't exclusive, you can keep distributing everywhere else at the same time.

Everything you can sell

Releases

Albums, EPs and singles, with digital booklets, lyrics and video attached. Price them your way: a flat price, pay-what-you-want above a floor you set, free when you want the reach, or subscribers-only. You can change your mind whenever you like. It's your release.

Subscriptions

Set up monthly tiers that unlock unreleased tracks, early drops, digital booklets and a private feed. That's recurring income that doesn't depend on whether a playlist picks you up this month, from the fans who already want everything you make.

Merch

List print-on-demand designs or your own stock right next to the music they belong to. Fulfilment is handled and there's no minimum order.

Tickets and live

Sell entry to shows, listening sessions and virtual events, then scan fans in at the door from your own phone. You can also go live from the app and take tips in real time while the whole room chats.

Every show becomes a storefront

This is our favourite part. At a gig, open Sell in Person, pick a release, a shirt or a subscription tier, and hold up the QR code. Fans scan it with their phone camera and pay in seconds. They don't need the app or an account first, and the album is in their library before they leave the venue.

What it costs

  • $0 to join and upload. No monthly fee, no distribution fee, no exclusivity.
  • A platform fee on sales only: 15% to start, dropping to 12% once you pass 100 subscribers and 10% past 500. Payment processing is separate.
  • In-app purchases carry the app store's cut. Purchases made inside the iPhone or Android app also include Apple's or Google's own 15%, which is why the in-app price is slightly higher than the web price.
  • Getting paid: web sales land in your connected account and you can withdraw whenever you like. Sales made inside the apps are paid out monthly, after Apple and Google settle with us.

You own 100% of your masters and your publishing, and your fan list stays yours. Your fan emails, sales data and catalogue can all be exported, so you can leave with your data any time.
